Flights to Dubai — All Operations Suspended

Developing Story|Last Updated: March 1, 2026 at 06:39 AM UTC

All flights to Dubai have been cancelled or diverted as both Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Dubai World Central (DWC) remain closed following Iranian missile strikes. Airlines from every continent have suspended Dubai services, including Emirates, British Airways, Lufthansa, Air France, Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Air India, Turkish Airlines, and dozens more. The total number of cancelled flights exceeds 1,500 in the first 24 hours alone.

Aircraft that were en route to Dubai when the crisis began have been diverted to a range of alternative airports. Common diversion points include Mumbai (BOM), Delhi (DEL), Karachi (KHI), Istanbul (IST), Muscat (MCT), and Nairobi (NBO). Passengers on diverted flights should follow their airline's instructions for accommodation and rebooking. Most airlines are providing hotel stays and meals for stranded passengers at no additional cost.

For travelers who had upcoming Dubai trips planned, all major airlines are offering fee-free cancellations and full refunds for flights through at least March 15, 2026. Travel agents and online booking platforms are processing cancellations, though response times are slower than usual due to the unprecedented volume of requests. Travelers are advised not to book alternative routing through other Gulf airports, as the entire region's airspace remains unstable and further closures are possible.
