Iran War Casualties — Death Toll Tracker

Developing Story|Last Updated: February 28, 2026 at 11:22 PM UTC

The human cost of the Iran war is mounting rapidly as reports filter in from across the region. Iran's Red Crescent Society has confirmed at least 201 people killed and 747 injured across 24 of Iran's 31 provinces. The deadliest single incident was an airstrike that struck a girls' school in Minab, southern Iran, killing at least 85 students. Infrastructure damage is widespread, with hospitals in Isfahan, Shiraz, and Tehran overwhelmed by the influx of wounded civilians and military personnel.

Outside Iran, the casualty picture is still developing. In the UAE, one Pakistani national was killed and four others injured when missile debris struck a hotel on Dubai's Palm Jumeirah island. In Kuwait, several airport workers were injured when Iranian missile intercept debris fell on the international airport tarmac. Israeli authorities have not yet released comprehensive casualty figures but confirmed injuries from Hezbollah rocket attacks in the north and Iranian missile strikes in central Israel.

Humanitarian organizations including the International Committee of the Red Cross and Doctors Without Borders have called for immediate access to affected areas in Iran. The WHO has warned that hospital capacity in several Iranian cities is already exceeded. The full casualty toll is expected to rise significantly as search-and-rescue operations continue in areas hit by bunker-buster bombs targeting underground military and nuclear facilities.
