With Dubai airport closed and Iranian missiles targeting the UAE, residents and tourists face difficult evacuation decisions. The primary exit routes are: overland to Oman (Al Ain border crossing, approximately 2 hours to Muscat), overland to Saudi Arabia (Abu Dhabi to Ghuwaifat border, approximately 4 hours), and by sea if commercial evacuation vessels become available.
Embassy evacuations are being coordinated for foreign nationals. The US Embassy (04-309-4000), UK Embassy (04-309-4444), and Indian Consulate (04-397-1222) have activated emergency protocols. Registration with your embassy is critical — it determines priority for evacuation flights and naval evacuations. Bring your passport, any medications, cash (ATMs may be offline), and phone chargers.
If you cannot evacuate, shelter in place following Dubai Civil Defense guidelines: stay in interior rooms of reinforced concrete buildings, away from windows. Keep 3 days of water and food supplies. Charge all devices. Keep your car fueled in case evacuation routes open. Follow @DubaiPolice and @NCABORDC on social media for official updates.
